BETTY KIRKPATRICK

Betty Kirkpatrick graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1964 with an Honours degree in English Literature and English Language. She has lived in Edinburgh ever since, apart from a year spent in Toronto.

Betty went into publishing (Chambers' Reference department) in 1966 and has been in the industry ever since in a number of roles (often freelance) as editor, lexicographer, publisher or author, including the position of Reference Director of Chambers from 1977 to 1984.
